@Georgi - stew is one of my fave dishes - easy and cheap you just chuck everything in one pan...also tastes better on day 2 (esp if you used a bit of stout :D )

I remember some years ago, when I was supporting my student sister on my own low wage we were really skint. We got used to black tea with no sugar as we couldn't afford milk or sugar - and on a Friday when she was paid from her part-time job she used to buy fish and chips for us and four cans of Holsten. LOL! those were the days... :D

Well once we had no money so I decided to throw what we had into a stew pot. Unfortunately we had no meat and no gravy granules. When it was done it was bright gren (ROFLMAO!! :D :D ) it tasted ok though and filled out bellies until I got paid a day or so later :)

Lol! @Fas :D

Stew poured over chips is gorgeous, though I don't recommend the fish on the same plate :D

Hmmm, not sure about that one... It's like that weird American thing, having gravy on your chips... Which is one of those things I remember vividly from when I went to the USA about 5 years ago, getting strange looks for declining gravy with my fries... But ketchup, that's what goes with chips!! :D :p :D

@Georgi - a popular dish up north is chips and curry sauce (boy did I get a strange look when I asked for that in a chippy shortly after moving to London  :D )

It has been sunny here all weekend :D Hopefully it will carry on like this, or we won't get so many customers...

@Ysh That sounds like a good plan to me ;) I had an early night last night, may have to do the same again...

Southampton Boat Show
Oh ok! thanks :)

It is funny that you are bragging about good weather in the UK - how often do we get that kind of opportunity? :D

@Georgi - where were you working today? Are you back at Uni yet? :)

I started at the Boat Show on Friday, will be working every day until it finishes next Sunday. :) I actually don't go back to uni until October (term starts on the 8th I think), so ages yet :D
