This got me wondering....Do we have anything of that stuff at school?
Yeah, watch out for that stuff. Didn't know HCl was that lethal. Think that's the classification, but it's been a while
Tsk, and I thought Potassium Nitrate was supposed to be bad
School supplies are probably more dilute forms anyway. Just strong enough for experiments

Potassium Nitrate? I have worked with stuff that could cause a small nuclear reaction and you are worried about nitrate?
Dilutre forms arent lethal in the typical dose. however, if they get into the right spots, it can still kill... and it has the chance to maim you permanently.

Which one is gunpowder? Nitrate or Nitrous?

Nuclear implosion - crappy gunpowder (Nitrate or nitrous? ROFLMFAO)
Weigh the power Rav.
Nitroglyserine?
*nods sagely*
makes pretty boom

There is nothing some good old C4 can handle.... except a HUGE explosion

No, it's Potassium and something Nitrogen related. I remember in some test I did, being asked to name an alkaline substance (think it was allkaline), couldn't think of one, so I made up any combination. Then I was told that it was one of the few exceptions and that it was gunpowder
What? It's not C4, but it's a start.
(Nitrate or nitrous? ROFLMFAO)
I didn't study Chemistry okay?!

That reminds me....I should call a friend of mine and start using that gunpowder cannon again... We made it out of a metal tube, a wooden construction and the gunpowder from shotgun shells
ammo : Glass marbles (sp?)

Should I bother asking you how you got hold of shotgun shells?
ammo : Glass marbles
That would hurt...

Err.... No
Besides, I didn't get hold of them...He did.

Hey.... We don't use that much gunpowder...Just enough for some movement in the marble and a little noise
It's been over a year since we last used it. Atleast since I last were around when that thing was used.

Any good targets?

Nah....Just a tree or two.... If anyone get injured from that thing I'll blame it all on you... You were the one that reminded me of it in the first place

Blame it on the person who 'acquired' the gunpowder.
Any other good stuff I can remind you of?
So much for you being around for only 5 minutes then?
Well, time for me to go anyway
.
@hill, what size does the animation have to be? I might be able to decrease the resolution or something.

Hello everyone! What's the matter with gunpowder?

Ask the other two, I have no problem with it.
Except when Rav tries to sound smart by introducing chemistry to the thread and forgetting that I work with dangerous substances daily.
That 97 in chem was well earned.

I'm no expert in the field of microbiology. I only know that it has connections with biohazards. That gunpowder thing was just one of those random things that happened years ago, proved a nice distraction yesterday though
I don't need to
sound smart, I am smart!
I'm just surprised that I even remembered HCl was for Hydrocloric acid (before seeing anyone else writing it)

OOOOOOOOOOOO! Nitromethane is CH3NO2! And we once had a train full of HCI roll over in columbus!

A train full of HCl? *hiss* *bubble* Hope no-one was close
I see you corrected medieval in your sig. Now all you need is apostrophes...
You're around early today...earlier than usual anyway.
