@ Lestat. So far as I know I did. I am not sure about the directory bit. But I did get a different error message, so I must have done something.

Any security programs running? Like antivirus, fire wall or anti spyware programs? It's best to disable them while you're playing.

Norton. But it said to disable it and I did and it made no difference. Took weeks to find the game and then the computer wouldn't work for ages and now this. I do not think I am supposed to be a vampire.
