But you're right. If we don't mind a little deception we could use ferrets. I like ferrets. I shared a house with a ferret for a couple of weeks a while ago - they really do ferret about. They shouldn't be that hard to get hold of. Do you think there's money to be made? Should we dye them ?

Train them as a football team and the ability to hold the formation on that flag - Instant profit. :D

As for the dye, well, they'd want to keep them clean for the cameras. The dye would wash out quickly :( .

IIRC stoats have ermine coats in winter. Find albino ferrets. Train those.
And make sure you're long gone, by the time they're supposed to have summer brown fur coats. :p ;)

Think of all the French politicians that'd line up for such a photo opportunity with the local emblem... :D

I like this more and more. Lots of ferrets are albino and trainable- see picture

Nice. Though I don't think that one was albino. I think the albino ones have red eyes.
And yeah, they should all be trainable. Hopefully, Brittany doesn't have any stoat/ferret experts... :p

Good point. They probably do have experts if it is their symbolic animal. But the photo's don't have to be close ups of the animals if you think politicians might be amenable something slightly less than honest. Is that possible ?

You have to have the obligatory shot of a politician holding an animal, or even better a picture with ferrets in formation taken at an angle on top of a giant flag- so there are actual animals in place of the pictured ones. Think how great that would be :D .

Someone takes a field, marks the grass so it looks like the flag, place the ferrets. Hire a small crane (something that people use to fix streetlights maybe) and a good photographer takes a picture.

There could always be photo doctoring to put a politician and ferret in the same shot, stranger things have happened...and the comparisons between animal and politician... :p

You like? :p

Is there a picture of that flag anywhere, I found a black and white flag and another one that was red with two yellow lions but no stoats. :(

They're a bit stylised but this is what it looks like

@hill,
There was apparently a heraldic flag with stoats, but we decided ferrets were easier to get hold of and train. :D

@Fiona,
Ah I saw that page, didn't know those were supposed to be stoats though. Even easier then, they have no good image to compare to! :D
