This has been done before, but it was long ago and we have got many new members since then.

What is your dream holiday resort/s and why?

Mine are many, some are: Antarctica, Patagonia and Azerbadjan for scenery, Samarkand (in Uzbekistan) for architecture and culture.

I don't, yet, have many specific cities or such in mind, but I do have a few countries in mind: Ireland, Australia, England, Scotland, France(Paris), Canada, Norway, Iceland, Greece(Athens), Egypt, Brazil, Portugal, and a few others I've currently forgotten about.

Rockies in the US, Canada, Swiss Alps, France ... as long as it's big and tough

I was supposed to go there 5 years ago but snow days at school made it the end of a marking period instead of the beginning; couldn't go.

I'm with C E with Antarctica though.

It's probably warmer there than it is here right now... *shivers* Okay maybe not... but at least it isn't 45 degrees and raining all week there!

Dream holiday? For me anywhere away from the rat-race...that also has a kids club

Seriously, I like looking at pretty deserted beaches, but I am not a beach bum. I prefer to be far away from it all - but within easy access of some pretty walks and cultural sights.

This time last year we were just home from Zakynthos - a beautiful Greek Island

Turkey is a really nice place. It has an amazing culture shedloads of greek and roman ruins and it has nice beaches.

I had my best holiday there

As Aegis said, Whistler/Blackcomb in British Colombia is one of the most popular ski resorts. Fernie in BC, Banff in Alberta, and Silver Star in BC are all good resorts in western Canada. On the eastern side, Mnt. Tremblant near Montreal and Mnt. St-Ann near Quebec City. Smuggler's Noch in Vermont, US is a nice place too.

I think Arizona would be nice. Mmmmmmmm the desert, nice dry and hot. At least, there would be no one around to bother me. Except the coyotes *snicker* and buzzards.

It's not as nice as they say, at least the desert isn't. I haven't visited the mountainous areas that I've been told about. You might want to try Nevada instead.

I have been to Nevada, boring. Been to Texas, boring. The Dakotas, Montana, Colorado,and Utah, nice. I haven't been to Arizona, New Mexico, Alabama and a few others yet. I'm planning on it though.

If you thought Texas was boring then you obviously didn't go to the right place, nor did you spend enough time there. I went on a two week vacation going to a few of the places in east Texas and it was a lot of fun, except for Galvaston. Galvaston and Dallas suck, imo. There's the riverwalk in San Antonio, various theme parks, Alamo, the shops on Main St.(I think that's the name of the street) in Fredricksburg, the forests and hills of the Hill Country, Inks Lake State Park in the Highland Lakes Area northwest of Austin on the Colorado River, Blue Bell Ice Cream Factory in Brenham, and lotsa places I forget the names of. (Note: I have been to everyone of those places I listed and more. This is not just what I've heard, but what've I seen/experienced.

New Mexico is nice. White Sands is somewhat interesting. The Lodge in Cloudcroft is a wonderful place to stay. The golf course is nice. I hear the skiing is good in Ruidosa, though I never got the chance to go skiing when I lived there. Ruidosa itself is beautiful and the Ruidosa Downs Racetrack in Ruidosa Downs is a fun place to go.

Arizona is boring, boring, and annoying. I hear the Grand Canyon is nice and I'd like to see it, but the "painted desert" is bleah. The landscapes in Texas are prettier.

(Note: I have been to everyone of those places I listed and more. This is not just what I've heard, but what've I seen/experienced.

I've only driven through Alabama, but it didn't look too bad. Though, I don't remember much of it because I was busy playing my Sega Game Gear.

I've lived there for about 16-17 years, in Fort Worth, San Antonio, San Angelo, Carlsbad, Kerrville, Burton, Inks Lake State Park, Tow, and Buchanon Dam.

You obviously have no culture if you're unable to enjoy Texas.

Also, if you find Texas boring, then you'd hate Arizona because it actually is boring.
