Ability to delete one's posts

It would be really convenient if we had this ability, there's been a few times I've posted on the wrong thread in error, or in one case realised I was replying to an antique post, the last one i went through the routine to send a pm but found out it had apeare as a post for some obscure reason!

Any chance of enabling us to delete out own posts?

That feature was disabled years ago mainly due to the fact that if a member deletes the very first post of a thread they started, all posts below it (whether it be three or six hundred) are deleted along with it. As far as I know, that's how it still works in vBulletin.

Makes sense, I'll just have to take my anti-senility tabs and live with it, thanks Buck.

I'm pretty sure I've been on a vBulletin board where it was possible to delete every post, except for the first one. The forums were at beyondunreal.com I think. But that's many years ago.

I've always thought it was bad form to let people delete their own posts.
