The Sand Peaople..

Am I doing something wrong? I'm supposed to be doing the peaceful solution to the sand people problem, but every time I walk in to the sand people territory, I get ambushed once and then all of them are hostile.
It only seems to happen with HK in the party but I NEED hoime!
Advice, what I did wrong?

You won't be attacked by Sandpeople when you enter their camp. Until that time, keep on fighting. It should be noted that before entering the camp-area you can find sandcustumes that disguise you. HK will only be needed INSIDE the camp.

I know, I'm in sand gear with the gaffi sticks, but whenever I try to go there with HK so he can translate for me, I get ambushed leading to everyone being hostile.
