I have no idea what you are on about as I have problems reading your post :)
But please there is no need to post twice in a row, when an edit to the first posts would be just as effective ;)

Anyways - welcome to GB.

There's a hole in the world like a great black pit
And the vermin of the world inhabit it
And its morals aren't worth what a pig could spit
And it goes by the name of World Wide Web.

At the top of the hole sit the privileged few
Making mock of the vermin in the lower zoo
Turning beauty to filth and greed...

I too have sailed the web and seen its wonders,
For the cruelty of men is as wondrous as brilliance
But there's no place like World Wide Web!

Poor thing, poor thing.

Rather catchy musical I'd say.

Maybe it's a comment on how this thread doesn't make a lot sense. So he decided to just post something to comment that. Nicely done

Look closely at the lyrics guys... I'd say there's a certain subtle commentary going on ;)

You'd say there's a certain subtle commentary going on? Um, would you by any chance happen to be a bit oblivious, Draconic Lass? It really was a rather spiffy musical, I‘d say, so daunting and haunting. ;)

Made me have a new look at me barber, especially when he asks: 'Would you like a shave, sir?'

But, back on the first post. I'd say that is quite natural, after all we are using the English language, in it's many forms, as a medium of discussion on many forums. And the fact is, there are quite a lot of people who speak English and are closely related to happenings on North America so it should be no surprise that people on English speaking forums tend to focus on the English speaking world. Speak Your Mind Forums are no different to this, not even here on Gamebanshee.

But, nothing bad on that, broadens the view of those who are not from the English speaking soil. :]

I'm hardly oblivious ;)
Also, I'm quite aware where it comes from. Here is the rest of it, if anybody else is wondering. It's from Sweeney Todd:

There's a whole in the world like a great black pit
and the vermin of the world inhabit it
and its morals aren't worth what a pin can spit
and it goes by the name of London.
At the top of the hole sit the previlaged few
Making mock of the vermin in the lonely zoo
turning beauty to filth and greed...
I too have sailed the world and seen its wonders,
for the cruelty of men is as wonderous as Peru
but there's no place like London!
--
There was a barber and his wife
and she was beautiful...
a foolish barber and his wife.
She was his reason for his life...
and she was beautiful, and she was virtuous.
And he was naive.
There was another man who saw
that she was beautiful...
A biased vulture of the law
who, with a gesture of his claw
removed the barber from his plate!
And there was nothing but to wait!
And she would fall!
So soft!
So young!
So lost and oh so beautiful!

Oh, that was many years ago
I doubt it anyone know

There's a hole in the world like a great black pit
And it's filled with people who are filled with shịt
And the vermin of the world inhabit it"
