The Archetype Idea thread (sort of builds with a balance between RP and power)

Here's a thread to come up with archetypes.. Basicly a character concept. You can't have every skill maxed so it pays to pick and choose. For instance if you never use bow from the beginning you sell all bows and never buy one. Which saves on dex pts and gold and bow skill points. I don't know too much of the game because I've played to level 5-20 several times but not gotten further.

Pretty much all my characters take alchemy and lock picking I think?

Brute - Not much magic at all. Uses Two Handed Weapons with heavy armor. No skills spent on shield, bow, skills. A little bit of skill in air and earth magic, but not beyond what his will can handle. Active skill Stun.

Fire and Water Mage - Robes and Staff. Max fire and Water with 3 air (to allow concentration to stack with overpower + mana shield in some situations). Wields Fire or Water staff for mana, 1 handed sword to use with defensive combat, and a situational weapon eg at beginning a spear is nice for bandits and animals. Some skill in critical strike to combine with his defensive combat skill. NOT an all out will user, but just strong in that. Damage spells + summons (unsummon too). No bow.

Dirty Rat - Hit and Run. Sneak + Death Attack. Dexterity. Traps. Some skill in Necromancy to poison them and then run away and let the poison work on them....Stealing (since sneaky). Uses bow but spends skills elsewhere mostly. Duel wielding with a lot of critical strike. Dirty Trick Maxed. (Theoretical might be hard to play I will try eventually)

Dexer Adventurer - Bow skills, Dual Wielding, moderate Traps, some magic??? haven't totally flushed this one out. Some skill in air magic to boost dex (bless). Maybe up to the high air summon? 10 air. Some Sneak but not as much as dirty Rat.

Straight Bowman - Puts everything he has into bow combat. Maybe some air for force pushing opponents back. Water to summon some distractions? Dexterity...Enough strength to carry a confontations loot (with bless) and wear half-plate eventually.
