stats seem to be based on level
for instance if you put all your pts into dexterity and critical strike the first 3 levels they become quite high (they being % of critical strike, attack %, and defense percent).
But your values will regress if you stop investing in dex and critical strike. If you spend the next ten levels rounding out your character they all regress.
This is kind of like diablo shield block. If you boost dex early with a paladin you'll have insane block. But then as you level and stop dex it gets worse and worse.
