Unable to save or rest

I've been having problems after the first time I visit the Graveyard. After I leave, I find that I am unable to save my game (or quicksave) and am unable to rest my party, indefinately. Its getting very frustrating.
Any ideas?

Do you see any red messages in the dialog area there?
Things that will prevent you from resting:
Offensive spells active in the area (web, stinking cloud, cloudkill, etc.)
Dialog (is someone on his way to talk to you?)
Enemies (is there an invisible enemy following you around? Yes, this has happened to me)

Nothing that I can see. When I try to save or rest it just says that I am unable do so at this time. Argh. It doesn't matter where I go...the same thing.
If it helps, I get attacked by slavers when I try to leave the Graveyard for the first time.

ah - that problem sounds familiar - getting attacked = supposed to start Harpers quests? have you a body with you?
go to the bottom left of the docks and chat to the door guard.

I recently had this problem with Tutu.
My answer in that game was to move areas so that I got an autosave. Close the computer and reboot. Load the autosave.
