Hello, new to Oblivion, I searched for this but couldn't find anything. I have in my inventory learned spells, scrolls, and books with spell names. I know the learned spells i use over and over, and i assume the scrolls are 1 time usage, but what about the books, do i have to keep them to use my learned spells, or are they 1 time usage like the scrolls, or is it something completely different?

Books are different, most of them are for background, and to fill out the orld, some of them do teach skills though. For example the book 'Withershins' will tech you Restoration (you'll gain 1 skill point) the first time you 'read' it. A teaching book is a one shot item, once it has been used it doesn't disappear, you can keep it (to display in your abode if you have on) or sell it.
