I have a few skill points and I am wondering to spend them to get access to the poison shield spell. I am pretty powerful with all the earth and air buffs and I can get 10,000 resistance to pierce/bludgeon/slash and very high resist to fire/lightning/cold. But one thing I notice against ghouls and scorpions so far is that in a few hits they can totally poison me. Now that is a DOT and it is slow acting and I can out heal it but still I would say it is my weakness. I do have poison blockers but only in limited supply.

So my question is whether the poison shield spell defends specifically vs poison...?

I never used it, but the description makes it sound like it blocks poison completely.
