I've pretty much finished every computer game I've ever played- or at least now know how to finish. The one exception is this old Origin game called Mobius- where you were some ninja guy who saved monks on various elemental planes.
Anyhow, before I die, I'd like to know how to finish it. I'm talking about not being able to find the monks on the fire plain- I killed the overlord dude- and could hear the monks- but I never could get them. I'll never be able to complete this- as it was on my old Apple IIc- but if anyone remembers where to find the monks please help me so my soul may rest.

Unfortunally I can't help you, but I now the feeling.
I have a game called "Legends of Valour" wich is a CRPG in a city called "Middeldorf".
I never could finish it - and because it is an old DOS game I can't even try anymore

No, it's not there: sorry.

I was afraid it might be too old. I played it long, long ago, and I'm afraid I remember it very poorly.

Yes my friend, I can help you. I went through the very same dilema for a long time. The answer is actually fairly simple. You just need to use your rope. It is a special power thing, you need to enchant in. Like in the spell "Rope Trick" it rises into the air and you climb up to the Cloud Monestary, where you'll *see* the monks you've been searching so damn long for.
May your soul rest.

As I recall, that was a Ben Hanson game, around 1988. I interviewed him at the time, and he raved about how much Zen philosophy he had supposedly put into Mobius. Zen, my butt: it was a fun game, but about as mystical as your friendly McDonalds' Yoda drinking cups. It was Hanson's last game for Origin, I think. Garriott had just published a group of games created by different teams, and they didn't do very well. The producers were encouraged to leave for greener pastures. Too bad: I was particularly pleased with Knights of Legend, and its really involved combat system.

I just remember that your kharma got bad if one of those monks fireballed you. Also, they dissolved your sword if you didn't unequip it before fighting them.
Also, you spent a lot of time hacking trees.
But overall, was really fun for some reason.
