I think most of us play on either insane or core rules, however, some people here use mods to make the game even harder.

Core rules, but with a mod to learn spells 100% of the time (Otherwise, I'd just save and reload anyway) and with the improved Demogorgon battle in ToB.

Core.
Intelligence raising potions solve the copy issue. Having to manage your copying adds another decision-making element to the game. For me, the more decisions the better.

I always play core difficulty. I enjoy the battles in the game, but I don't like constant reloads.

Core, but i scale back to learn spells. Mods that give 100% spell learning never seem to work for me. :/

Normal or Core, depending on whether I can be arsed to reroll/relearn scrolls all the time. I never cared about difficulty very much since the only difference in my playstyle is that I'll use more immunity than resistance for tankers.
I prefer mods for increased difficulty.

Insane, and I also use mods for increasing difficulty. And setting the difficulty on Easy for successful scroll scribing is not my thing until there are potions of Genius or Mind Focusing. Some mods, however, remove these potions from the game, and then I also tend to set the difficulty to Easy when scribing scrolls.

the write magic thing is so bugged. i mean with 17 int i have a chance of 75% so on average i can write 3 out of 4 scrolls right? but in reality i always fail and i mean always. one time, i got pissed and bought 20 scrolls and only 6 made it. do u call that 75%? i don't think so. even with 25 int 99% u still have a 20% chance of failing AT LEAST.

I play core rules. It was rough my first time playing but much better than wimping out and taking easy. As for the writing spells issue, just save the game b4 copying the spell...

I think that 25 Int means chance to learn spells way over 100%. In fact, Int of 24 or 25 guarantee always successful scroll writing. 23 may still fail though.
