korgan quest timed? (spoilers!)

i know the korgan book of kaza quest is timed but is the valygar hunting timed also?
Not that I've ever noticed, I've never tried turning him in though obviously. Curiously you can walk right past the guy that gave you the quest with Valley Girl in your party and no one says a dicky bird!
As I usually pick him up early, and leave the Planar Sphere until late I think I would have found out if there was a time limit by now too.
