Where does the phrase "That crazy .... !" come from?
Like, a president invades a country, telling others its because they have stashed some forbidden weapons. Then when it turns out they don't have any and just take the oil instead, people everywhere slap their thighs and go all: "That crazy mr. president, hes was jus playin!"
That crazy Jesus, that crazy Chris Rock, that crazy baby, etcetera. So yeah, where does it come from? An old sitcom or something?

I've personally never even heard the phrase. Have you tried typing in the question on google?

I find everything simply by google.

Didn't even know it was suppose to be a "phrase" originating from something ..... guess Google might reveal it indeed
Could be some US-sitcom indeed. They are often responsible for many catch-phrases.

Never heard the phrase either but I wish the president you were referring to would take the oil you have falesely accused him of taking because then maybe gas would be cheaper.

I must confess to being confused by this thread, it's just a term, not a catch phrase, it's just an english expression you crazy Dutchman!

There is something extra-funny about it, and people have been using it because consciously. Uhh.. because it is corny. I studied corn for a while, so I know what I'm talking about!
Alright, alright. I'm giving up the hunt.
