I've got tooooons of cash, but my party is too weak to beat Watcher's Keep right now.

If I start the quest just to get to the shop, then go do something else, will I lose the quest?

Don't rush it.

There are actually very few really timed quests, most of them are in Ust Natha, and all of the NPC quests are timed as well.
