I'm nearing the end of the game and wanted to "wrap" some misc. quests including Granny's necklace. One entrance to Orchard Farm is "closed for repairs" and when I use the other one, no one is around to start this quest and the door to the house is closed. I've gone back a few times but the map is empty. Even used a golden carrot to turn night into day hoping the farmer would appear - but no deal. Does anyone know why this is happening and how I can jumpstart this quest? Much thanks!

The quest is only available right after the Arena IIRC.
So if you are any further with the main quest line, you are out of luck.

Oh Rats! Now I've done it all

Well, in about 30 hours of play, I've done all the quests that were not evil. Fun game although weird to be a guy having sex at the bordello What a difference from Morrowind and Oblivion though - MUCH more bang for the buck there (no pun intended). Thanks for the reply!
