Anyone else crashing from GB a lot?
Anyone else crashing from GB a lot?
Recently I crash from gamebanshee within a few minutes every time. This has happened probably 20-30 times so it is not isolated case. Within the last few weeks.
Anyone else?
I am not having this problem with other websites. Just browser crashing.

I'm not experiencing crashes, but a bit of lag from one of the adds on the lef, where a person appears and starts talking.

What do you mean with 'crashes from'? Your browser eats dirt?

it says 'abort, ignore, retry'
ignore and retry mean that it goes to 'not responding' when I view it from task manager.
abort closes internet explorer

I don't come very often, but I had no problem whatsoever in the last week. I'm using Firefox with Flashblock. Could not live without Flashblock since I tried it!

I've not experienced any problems in the last week or so. I also use Firefox, but the problem could be with advertising, which is done on a location basis. So, for example DragonWench and I never see the same adverts, or at least I suspect no one's offering Jet2 Holidays from £149 in Canada!
I've not experienced Crenshinibon's lag either, because I never get anyone talking at me as he describes. So it could be down to an advert aimed at your location Claudius that none of us would get, and even Buck doesn't even know about. The only thing I can suggest is try using a different browser.
PS Silly me forgot why I posted. What often works for me when I do get problems on this site is to disable JavaScript and Java, that way you get no adverts. Just don't forget to re-enable them when you leave.

No problems here neither, and I'm using Opera. Though can't say much about the lag as there has been quite bad lag recently, but that has been on all sites I've tried to visit, so it could be local problem. But due bad local lag I can't say if minor lag is present in GB.

Ok downloaded firefox. I'll update with this post with the results. I know its only GB site but it might be some problem in the installation of my IE explorer or something. I haven't heard anyone else who uses IE have this problem.

I'm not crashing with mozilla firefox. Which presents the interesting scenario that microsofts advertisements are causing their own browser to crash while other browsers are shown to be more stable

@Claudius,
ROFL!
Actually I find Firefox 3 to be very good, and incredibly stable. I've never had any trouble with it when I come to GB.
Firefox 2 was so so, IMO... it could be quite slow sometimes, but 3 is a good release.

Nice one, Claudius.
I use Firefox as well, and haven't been having any problems. I tried visiting gamebanshee with IE, but the add never popped up, and I got bored. I thought maybe they'd taken the add down, but I've seem it again a few times with Firefox, so I guess not. Glad to hear you aren't crashing anymore. How do you like Firefox?
