Importing back to BG

Okay, this might seem like a strange question, but it suddenly occurred to me as a really fun idea. Can you take your extremely high level character from the end of Throne of Bhaal, and import it back into the beggining of BG? I'm now desperate to go back to the beggining and absolutely pound my way through the game with the fury of a God. I'd especially like to paste that bloody demon you release from the knife whom gave me so many evenings of pain.
I have BG running off Easy Tutu, with Tutu fix, but not the XP Cap remover. I assume i would have to take that off. Then is it just a case of moving the right save fule into the BG folder and importing it in game? Can this be done at all or is it a hopeless cause?
Cheers!

No? No ideas? Not even a "No, that definately cannot be done?"?

I'm waiting to see if it's possible myself!

Now, I don't use TuTu, but try dragging the character file from the BGII folder to the BG folder. The opposite of that was the only way to bring characters from BG1 to BGII so it's worth a shot.

That seems to work! Running BG through Tutu, with Tutu fix and then an xp cap remover, i copied over my Final_TOB save, and could then import from it. As a sorcerer i noticed one bug about 10 minutes into play; it seemed to be displaying a call lightning spell in my spell list (Which i never had), and it is an unusable spell. I can't remember my spells well enough to be certain, but i think it has rendered one of my spells useless, just not sure which one.
It is ludicrously easy, but gives a satisfying impression of the progress you've made through the game. I think i'm going to see if i can speed play through all the main campaign and some of the tougher extra scenarios. I have a worry the complete lack of challenge might get boring before i can face off against anything like the big demon dude from the knife.

Call Lightning is a priest spell.

Which only makes it stranger its decided to slap it (albeit unusable) into my spell inventory! It is slightly worrying that if there is this one bug, there is a fair chance of more as play continues. Still, at least its more than feasible.

Some spells don't translate, Dimension Door for example is available in BG1 Tut, but not in SoA. I suspect a SoA spell, Stoneskin for example, may not translate backwards.

I had an amusing character when i re-imported a character from the START of ToB into Tutu, just to see find out if various items worked. I was a dual class character and one of my classes became negative experience but a far higher level than in the ToB game. Level 32 or similar I believe. He was absolutely all-powerful. Even the first Elminster that you meet became far too easy to defeat!! playing would not have been interesting at all. So yes, it can be done, but no, I wouldn't advise it.

Could you kill Gorion in Candlekeep?

I have resisted the urge to do such a thing. It would probably be great fun for about....10 minutes.

Pellinore is right. it is fun for about ten minutes.
I hadn't tried taking out Gorion, so I tried again just for you Klorox as I still had the character file. I'm afraid that even with a level 10 fighter, level 40 mage, Gorion still appears to be invulnerable, though perhaps somebody else would do better than I.
