Jaheira, the Unraisable Druid

It's my fourth time through, but the first this has happened: Jaheira was killed, and couldn't be raised. The spell to raise her was cast repeatedly, to no effect. My main character went to Oghma's temple as well, and again the spell failed.
Jaheira's a half-elf, so it can't be the old "unressurectable Elf" business. Any ideas? (I just went back to an older savegame, so don't worry. She's alive again.)

No idea just wanted to say hello. And you post reminded me of a longing for the other board where questions dont' go unanswered for very long.
Oh and did you try the wand of resurrection? What diffuculty level are you playing? From what I remember the more difficult the harder it is to resurrect (sp.)

Hi right back at you! Nice to see you up here, since the perhaps-demise of the late great.
Game setting's on hard, which may account for it. Possibly it does a check for rezzing, and then if it fails once, refuses to change that figure again.

hi mates!!
i have no idea about what's going on as well, but thought of something, could you turn down the level, thus using normal and then raise her, but resurrection of rod or spell? might not work but just something crossed my mind.
and i wanted to say hello!!

She wasn´t by any chance disintegrated or likewise, was she?

Actually I had the same problem on my first game. I figured it was just a spell error or that she had been chunked. It happened again(and I knew for certain that she hadn't been chunked) and again I could not raise her. I think it may be a programming error.

I tried Jahera's Harper's call in one occasion in similar situation and it failed. Nothing worked after that. Lucky enough i had saved before raising dead, i reloaded and used rod of resurrection, it helped.
Just my experience,
L.
PS It recalls the memory of BG I when i cannot raise Iomen at very beginning (fight at the Friendly Arms Inn). But there it was because of low CON she have, BG I has such a "feature". And also after the first fail nothing helped but reload. If she would already have the belt then...

Classic, if she was disintegrated, she wouldn't have had a facial icon in the party. No, she was simply deader than dead. Strange. And judging by the accompanying sounds while Oghma's followers tried the same spell, the program evidently believed she'd been rezzed. Somehow, I think the effort succeeds, but the flag for living (or whatever the BG code equivalent is) doesn't get set.

I agree Fable. I also have seen where the raise dead spell will fail, the rod of resurrection will succeed.

Yeah, Mythalos, good thought--but I tried using Oghma's Resurrection spell, too, and that didn't work. Sounds like it was stuck in some kind of loop once she was dead.
Perhaps the add-on will address some of the problems we've mentioned, including some of the great work Kevin's posted over at Baldurdash.

What about hit points being reduced to lower than -10? At greater than normal difficulty settings, that's considered unredeemably dead...

You probably had the same prob I had today. You got level drained and then killed. When this happened to my Har Dalis his hit points read at -4 on his character portrait which means he cant be raised because ALL resurection spells only give 1 initial HP (the lv.7 one give back all HP a couple of seconds after the characters raised).
I think this is a bug but it doesnt happen often anyway so its shouldnt really be problem.

It wasn't a level drain. This occured during the first part of Edwin's assignments to the group (as they infilitrate the rogue thieves guild branch), the one where they're asked to kill a mage.
