At the end of bg2 tob can you buy stuff off Samon/Esamon????

I read somewhere on this banshee site that Samon sells wares near the end of the game?????

He never sells you any wears, but when you first arrive at that city, if you visit the cave of his second meeting, a bandit will sell you some gear there.

I think he's mainly referring to what Saemon says to you when you encounter him in Amkethran(Give these guys back what I sold you, etc.). I guess he doesn't know that it's just Saemon looking out for #1 as usual.
But as Cren says, you can still buy stuff from the Smuggler's Cave you meet Saemon in later in the game.
