I am reopening the doors of Fable's Pancake and Spam Emporium, your 24-hour-a-day non-stop for great breakfasts, entertainment, and silly conversation. Given the amount of time that has passed since we were last around, I am again advertising for cooks, bouncers, waiters, and entertainers.

Pity there are no cook here yet, I could use a few pancakes with plenty of syrup
Since I'm really horrible at cooking, I'd like to apply to one of the positins as entertainer. I could belly dance or salsa to the pancakes

How about a bar? Does this place have a bar?

@CE, you bellydance? I think that would be a real draw. I'm sure some of the most hormonally inclined members of SYM (read, all of SYM) will be sure to turn out.

I used to, but I haven't taken classes for almost 2 years now, so I really need some training

SYM seems to be a good place to start
You know this movement in belly-dance where the lady stands on her knees and bends backwards until her shoulders touch the floor, and then up again? All while shaking your hips, of course. Quite difficult - but perhaps I could learn to turn pancakes this way?
I actually plan to take up the belly dance again after new year

I wish you all the joy of success. Certainly, trying to turn pancakes in the fashion would lend a whole new meaning to the phrase "sunny side up." Consider yourself hired.

1. I like to sit at the counter
2. I like my breakfast at 4 in the afternoon
3. Tabasco or other hot sauce is required
4. Is there some sort of eggs/potatoes/bacon/spam/toast/pancakes/oj/coffee special with a cute name I can order?
I definitely like the idea of a 24 hour bellydancing place - the current bellydancing place I go to has so-so hummous and salads.
If you can live with all this, I'll be a regular

Great

I start practising as soon as we get a cook to make the pancakes

I hope the FDA (or whoever checks hygienic standards at SYM establishments) won't object

Tabasco on eggs is definitely the real deal. Order me some. Along with some grits with cheese.
(I go through a bottle of tabasco every month)

Yes. We have the spam, spam and spam special with a side order of spam, familiarly known to our habitues as The Old Weasel. By all means, sit at our counter, and sample the thirty or so tabasco sauce types we supply to those of our patrons who prefer to eschew the laws of gravity while consuming our meals.

Mmm mmm good. The Old Weasel with a good helping of Tabasco.
BTW--I'd like to point out that this is my 100th post.

Thanks, again, CE for noticing! Good to be here, and I've noticed I'm usually in agreement with you and Fable on a lot of the threads.

@fable-I would like to offer my services as the bartender of your fine establishment

(though I would only be able to start work in December

)
