shapeshifter (werewolf form - resistances)

Hi friends!

First, I am sorry that my English is very simple because I am not really good in it.

I have a question about playing a druid as a shapeshifter (werewolves forms).
It seems that the resistances with both forms have cannot be improved, does it?

For example, I changed in to Greater werewolf which gives me some pretty nice resistances but after I put on Dragon helm (which gives +25% to fire, cold, acid res.) so it does not affect in any way the total amount in my character.

Also, some time ago I read a thread where was written that as a Great druid you can wear Valygars armor but when I got I could not use it.

Do you know if it is some kind of bug?
Can I fix it by some patch or something?

Thanks for help.

Try getting the latest patch. In my experience, you CAN improve resistance in the shapeshifter forms can be improved by items. Your problem is just that, you're using the Dragon Helm. If you read the item description more carefully, you'll notice that it SETS your resistances to 25%, actually lowering them from the Greater Werewolf form, which has all of them at 50%, except for Magic which is at 40%).

Did you achieve the Great Druid status? Is it currently your class?

If you are, then I believe that you might need fighter levels for it.

Hi Cren,

yes, you are right about statement with Dragon Helm. There is written that it sets on 25% all resistances.

So, for example do you know which items increase the resistances?
And where I can download the newest patch?

I remember that you were originally played this build when druid is dualled into fighter, right?

Actually, I am Great druid but still I cannot wear Valygars armor.

But as you mentioned fighter levels so I am not dualled yet into fighter. I am on 15 level and I can say that so far I have no a hard fight with any creature. Even Kangaxx was piece of cake.

But as you wrote in some threads before, you reached with this character something like 50-70% in all resistances and this is unreal to me. I know that I will get some resistances after I put all Bhalls tears into the Hells gate but anyway it seems unreachable.

But anyway I think that this build is very powerfull.

I actually dualled at level fifteen, but I also had one party member, which is the most I suggest for the purposes of gaining experience.

I only had a few items that contributed to resistances. They were: (Spoiler, highlight to read)

Darksteel Shield +4 (10% to all resistances aside from magic)
Helm of Defense (20% to fire, cold and electricity)
Two Rings of Gaxx (10% to magic resistance each)
Belt of Inertial Barrier (25% resistance to missile damage and 50% resistance to magic damage)
Valygar's Armor (25% to fire, acid and magic damage)

Some of your resistances will actually be over a hundred, meaning that you'll be healed when suffering that type of damage.

As you mentioned, the trials can give you a 20% resistance to fire, cold and electricity.
