I'm playing FO2 and I'm at the Sierra Army Base right now. I accidentally tripped the alarm on the first floor and fought the robots. Now when I go to the other floors the force fields are all up and I can't get outside of the elevator area. Is there anyway to turn off the alarm(s) in order to let the forcefields down?

i dont know about turning all powerfields off at once, but you can cut the power and then some of the forcefields will become orange, you cann pass through them, but take damage if i remember correctly (be sure to have lots of stimpacks for you and your companions). Alternatively, use your repair skill on the force field emitters (if you dont have enough repair skills, vic will help you) and they will shut down.

Using the repair skill on the force field emitters is in my opinion the best choice, otherwise be prepared to use plenty of healing. Additionally some emitters can be destroyed outright with explosives, though it's hard to do.
