Placing objects

Hello all!

Ok, in Morrowind you could set objects down wherever you wanted. This allowed for some very creative decorating and such. Is there any ability in Oblivian to do this? I can't do it, and I'm not sure if there is any patch that allows this.

I would really dig being able to hang weapons and armor on the walls! That could look really sweet.

Thanks!

Yep... havoc physics can be fun in battle, but they are a pain in the posterior when it comes decorating..

If you are on PC, there is some hope though, I have found the three mods below to aid greatly. Owing to the nature of movement in Oblivion, it's still not easy, but with some finessing it can be achieved.. ;)

You can actually do quite well with th Z button on your keyboard, if you have a fair bit of patience. I have even managed - though with great difficulty and it came out when I knocked it - to get a quill pen into an inkwell!

The main difficulty with placing objects with the Z button is that when you have placed them, and you move away, the objects are in a different position depending on where you view them from. You CAN place books on shelves, but it takes forever 'cos the second often knocks the first off.
But I always manage to get my shack nicely decorated with silverware, vases of flowers, a book left casually on a chair and a couple more on different shelves, besides a plateful of food, silver cutlery, a silver wine glass and decanter, and a bowl of fruit, on the table. It's no wonder Isleif the Open Handed won't give me a handout! ;)

Nice! I'll try that again. I'm just hoping to get my Vista issue fixed with the MOD's!
