Well, my penchant for older games has brought me to ToEE. I am just getting started and I have hit a snag. To heal Bing at the leatherworker's shop I acquired the heal spell from the temple but I cannot get it to work for either my druid or my Mage. What am I doing wrong?

If I recall, Heal is a 7th level druid spell. I'm not sure ToEE, which was originally built to only go up to 10th level, made it possible to use this scroll with a druid. But fortunately, there's a quick workaround. If you found the heal potion with the heal scroll, that works for anybody. If you didn't, or if you used it or sold it or something, you can use the console to give yourself one.

Open the console by holding shift and pressing ~. (Sometimes you have to try it a few times)
then type:

give 8037

That should set you up just fine.

Since you're new, I'll mention it: make sure you're patched correctly. This is a game that needs patching desperately. The good news is there are fabulous patches available. If you need help or advice, let me know.

did you identify the scroll? i hope so... my sorcerer did then i gave it to my level 1 druid right click - inventory - scrolls - heal...
a wand cursor appears and click on the retarded guy...
done...
