Problem With A Potion

Hi:

I don't have the ability in the game as yet, to make the Necrohhage Oil, so I thought I'd build it myself since I knew the formula. But no matter what base alcohol I use, it turns out poisonous or at least, harmful to me. I've tried various levels of alcohol, but no success.

I'm assuming that an alcohol base is required for this potion??

The formula I'm using is (2)VI and (1) AE) plus the alcohol base. Am I doing something wrong??

Thanks.

Oil needs GREASE, not alcohol, as a base.

Grease, such as Suet or Dog Tallow, is the base for the Oils.
Powders, such as Saltpeter, is the base for Bombs.

Also, you won't drink it, but instead apply it to your sword.

My Thanks To Both Of You:

I did wonder about the base required. And I thought it strange that it would be a potion (to drink) so I was wrong on both counts.

Getting quite an education here and certainly appreciate all the help I've had on this forum.

Thanks again.

Hey:

Still have a problem and it's just me, not knowing how to do things correctly.

When I open the Alchemy to make the Oil, only the alcohol items are allowed, all the other stuff including any grease or Suet is grayed out and not accessible.

How do I mix this stuff please?

Hi:

Not my day I guess. Finally smartened up ....

Used one of my Talent points and got the ability to make "Oil". Makes it just fine.

Sorry to have been such a bother.

BTW: YOu need another talent (2 of them, actually) if you wish to make bombs.
