Hey, where is everyone? Level 18 it is then, sorcerer by trade (or is it a calling.) I have the standard fare (robe of vecna,etc.) unlike Ubik and his made up items

You can find me in the prison where I have been held without good cause. Seems that that was the Master of Arms' daughter...No matter, I will turn him into a blind squirrel soon enough. Now if only that mutt-faced gaolor hadn't taken my girdle of frost giant strenth...

Let's see, I'll have the Robe of Vecna (popular isn't it?), the Cloak of Magus, Boots of Invulnerability (permanent Minor Globe of Invulnerability)- I picked this instead of Boots of Speed, Magi Ring of Meteors (infinite Melf's Minute Meteors), Amulet of Power, Bracers of AC +3, Ring of Protection +2. If anyone has any objections, please voice them, but I don't think that's too cheap. I am a level 18 conjurer. Neutral Good.

Everybody: I was looking at the exp tables in the manual, and I realized that there is a big difference in the levels that can be obtained by different classes at the cap. You guys can make your characters the level they would be at the cap +1. Thus the fighters out there could be level 20, and thieves level 24. Paladins can still only be level 18.

I can play as a neutral g. barbarian. Easy to play than a mage. I know reading Conan will be useful one day.

I think a cloak of mirroring on a fighter class would definitely unbalance the game...unless there could be a destroy item spell. I put it on me since a mage should know the in's and out's of magic. Maybe we could say that a Ruby Ray of Reversal spell (and no less) will lower the protection for one battle.
