BG 2 Install Help?

Post by flounder »

I have a friend who had never played BG2 and as I frequently told him how fantastic of a game it is, he ended up buying it. Anyway, the poor guy is having some problems.

He has Vista on his laptop and that would not even read the SOA disc, it acted like there wasn't even a disc in the drive.

Then he installed it on his desktop machine which has ME on it. After he finished installing SOA and TOB it told him to restart. When it rebooted, everything on his monitor flipped clockwise, so his toolbar is at the right hand side of his monitor and he can't get it to flip back. Does anyone have any suggestions for either of these problems? Either a way to install on Vista or flip his monitor back. I'm sorry, but I'm a Mac guy and I just don't really know anything about Windows at all.

He said "he googled it" and nothing worked. :)

Duh, I never thought about telling him to try looking at Bioware's site. Brain freeze I guess. Thanks!

Sure thing--and the Bioware site link came directly from Google. ;) Maybe he didn't have the patience to check out the threads. In any case, I hope it helps.
