What is your sense on party composition? Are you almost forced to take the typical warrior rogue divine and arcane? Or could you make 4 mages or 4 warriors and still beat the game...Not talking covering all situations, I just mean can you play through the game with any party?
I think flexibility was one thing people enjoyed with BG series.
I am talking about the SOZ edition

Hard to tell, Im still trying to find a well rounded party myself. My third party didn't do so bad, but it does compose of that sort... Arcane, Divine, Rogue, Fighter. It seems the only way to go for now, Im simply just trying to find a fit combination to mix. I think its possible to get by with 3 casters, 1 fighter just aslong as atleast 1 has minor thief skills.
Its harder for me to run through w/o an unbalanced party though. So I prefer letting other people try 'n find out

Well, in the OC I'm currently using Myself (Druid) Elanee (Druid) Khelgar (Fighter) Sand (Wizard) and Jerro (Warlock) I'm not too happy with Jerro so I'll probably soon swirch back to Bishop (Ranger) I personally think it's choice, and preference. Take the people whos abilities you like and you'll adapt yourself I think to using that party. It's all in familarality (Spelling?) Basicly the more you get to know the abilities and spell/fighting styles of the members in your party the more effecient you'll become with them.
