Khelgar quests (Spoiler)

ok I have searched the forum as much as I can and still retain a semblance of sanity so I appologize if this is anywhere else.
I am trying to complete Khelgar's quests and just need to do the trial of the even handed. I have good influence with him but every time I talk to him I dont get the option of talking to him about my other companions. Is there any way to trigger the proper dialogue?
In the story line I am at the point where I am going to protect the fourth lord to apparently hold a shard that has been passed around.

One trial is done in the Dwarven Scouts.
One trial is done by talking to Khelgar about the tiefling and Druidess, when you have fairly high influence with him.
One trial is done at YOUR trial, in act 2.
As I have never heard of this one, I'm not sure how to help.

How many points in influence do you have with him?

GoldDragon didn't miss it - its 2nd one of the three he listed. And in the link, its the second one down aswell.
It should just be really easy if you can get the dialogue to come up as an option. The lengthy chat w/ him about his prejudice should set him straight 
* If you continue to have trouble bringing the dialogue up, try mixing it up. Either talk w/ him after doing some quests OR talk with the other companions first then him last. If that doesn't work after awhile, then Im sorry - Im outta ideas *

After you go visit khelgar's home unless you screw up the dialogue you should be able to get enough influence.
Are you going to make him a monk or you just want the xp?

Ok I will try going back to where I saw the dwarven souts and try again. My influence with him is over 10. Just cannnot seem to get the dialogue to talk about my other companions.

He will refuse you if you fail an influence check. It will say "Influence Check: Failed" in the dialogue box and then he will say something to blow you off. There is a part where you actually go to clan Ironfist and do something for them in chapter 3 where you can gain (or lose) a lot of influence.

ok I finally got it to work. The only thing I really changed was I put both elanee and neeshka into my actual party. Not sure if that was the problem or if I was just not using the right dialogue links to get it. In answer to a previous question,
I wanted to change Khelgar into a monk both for the experience and because he wanted to be one. Thank you to everyone who helped me out on this.
