To b honest I was even prepared that it's a trap and that suddenly they might morph into demons or something equally friendly

you need a Dispel spell for this encoutner, and it is bugged, so that if you don't have one ready, you don't get a second chance

I was terribly disappointed when I made decision to attack this team after removing "chicken curse". Guys were 1 hit = 1 dead, I get 1 XP for each one and not even one item was dropped, besides this armour +3 which I received after dispelling. To b honest I thought it will b a great battle TEAM vs TEAM...I think I simply expected the unexpected from talking chickens
