Would like to find a list of recipes instead of doing the trial and error thing.

Some of my method is based on guides I read and some based on trial and error. So my method works, but I am not sure its all the information.
Anyhow I mostly found the permanent potions the most useful. So I will discuss those. I never made bombs or traps.
Permanent potions are made of permanet ingredients. Healing and mana potions are considered permanent and I consider them a catalyst. The reason you need a catalyst is because you have to have more other ingredients than gems or you will instead make a gem augmentation. The reason you might use a mixture of gems and other ingredients is you might not have 10 ingredients of other ingredients but you still want to make a potion NOW so that you can realize the benefit. You should always use 10 ingredients to make a perma potion. Also the other ingredients (non-gems) should have their benefits be a multiple of 5. The reason is that the efficiency factor is 1.8 and 1.8 x 5 is 90 which means that none of the benefit will get chopped of due to rounding down. You CAN combine different types. So you could use 3 centarium (3 x 3 = 9) and 1 item that grants 1 dex to make a total of 10 which is a multiple of 5. You can use storebought or looted perma potions to make your own perma potions. But you cannot endlessly distill your own potions ie use a created potion as an ingredient. You can also use gems for resists. The efficiency factor on gems means you need a multiple of 10 to maximize the efficiency. So 2 x 15s or whatever. Of course also you can only use 5 types of ingredients. You can fill out missing slots in the total of 10 by using healing or mana potions as 1 type of ingredient.
Examples
10 centarium (3 dex x 10...multiple of 5)
5 centarium 2 15 gems type A 2 15 gems type B werewolf cord multiple of 5
5 centarium 4 15 gems type A 1 healing potion
5 centarium 1 10 gem type A 1 10 gem type B 3 healing potions
if you get a gem augmentation (weapon booster) it is because you have 5 gems in your recipe which means non-gem ingredients are not outnumbering gems. Save the game before mixing. Some things like pearls are also considered gems iirc.

Maybe it's just me but I've found most of the components of little worth for alchemy ...
Perhaps it's just me, but other than using the beaver fat, werewolf bits and permanent effect granting plants at max alchemy skill, i've got a chest full of stuff that's most likely going to stay un-used. Are other peoples experiences the same?
(At the moment, i've got the caves to clear out on the southern half of the
map and do the final quest. With the [cheap] poison cloud spell and combined with a couple of others there's nothing that causes any difficulty - even the crazy robot island)
