Killing Patriarch

Post by gothemoguy »

Did you know that you can kill Patriarch? I am talking about the dragon in the Wasteland after you have become the Divine One. He is supposed to teach you the Spirit Form spell. After you have persuaded him to teach you it, you can kill him. Just cast the Poison Cloud spell multiple times, and after a while, he will die. Now comes the fun part: you get some experience points and items, but that is not the best part. You can cast the Necroshift spell on the corpse and become Patriarch. He has a very fast movement and here is the best part: you can cast the spell as many times as you want! Just put a Teleport Pyramid next to him and cast the spell. You can go back as much as you want because the corpse never goes away!

Hope it makes some sense!

Knew about the poison cloud thing, though it takes a long time and is really tedious. I never thought it was worth it (experience points at this stage in the game are kind of a moot point, with enemies everywhere and the endgame being so near) until I read the necroshift thing. Sounds like a good chance to wreak some havoc on all the demons and imps littering the wastelands. Wait, can you even attack enemies when you're in necroshift form? If not, then it is pretty lame, since all you can do is just fly around looking at sand.

Oooh, can he cross the black lake and make into the black ring's dungeon? I kind of doubt it. But it would be cool to defeat the demon of lies and beat the game as a giant dragon.
