I'll let a screenshot speak for itself:

I don't think it's supposed to do that. Shown on FireFox 3.0.4, Linux distribution. Can anyone with Windows Internet Explorer and the Windows version of Firefox confirm?

Same thing happens for me using Firefox 3.0.4 on Windows XP. Only in the news section though.

All of the initial posts in the GameBanshee News forum are allowed to use standard HTML (since they are imported directly from our news script), so those are the only posts that should have this problem. Unfortunately, I don't think there's an easy way to strip the HTML code from the preview window (though I can shut it off completely). If I can figure out a way, I'll implement it... otherwise, it's something we may have to live with for now.

I'm no programmer. If you want the news updates to appear correctly, wouldn't it be more convenient to make the news script convert the html tags into UBB tags prior to the actual posting of the update onto the forum? Don't sites like Babelfish do something similar? Well though the idea is similar, Babelfish doesn't touch the html. But I've seen sites that do that. You'd enter the url of some site, just like with Babelfish, and then the site would come out converted with ghetto-style writing, images of Mr. T from the A team, etc. I've also seen a friend write a script once that 'scooped-out' the images of a google image search, to put them on a website of his own making. Heh, like I said I'm no programmer. But the idea seems simple, find and replace.
