Well, after virgil left me, i found him in the underground of the sobbing onion in caladon, and, after i got him back from death, i added him again in the party. BUT, i had 10 followers, TEN:
sogg, chucka, gar, virgil, loghaire, sebastian, dog, 2 automations, medicarachnid

the game was too slow, and so i thought to disband some members: i disbanded gar, virgil, and i packed the two automations. Gar was pretty useless, horrible, and i thought virgil was useless since the time i'm a technichan, and the medical arachnid was better for healing. But, during the pete's quest, i went to the kree, where i found some difficulties on keep my members alive; yes, because that barbarians (or whatever they were) attacked the medical arachnid in groups, and broke it, and i had to put the "turn based battle" and to heal my members when they were fighting. Then i realised that virgil wasn't so useless since the time HE was the guy who kept my members alive during fight, and as the med.arachnid is dead (a man in caladon gave it to me, and i can also make the mecharachnid, BUT, i don't remember where i can find the wonder drugs; in the last game i obtained 4-5 wonder drugs, but i don't remember where i got them =/ ) i thought to add him to the party again, but where is he now?

For the Wonder Drug, try the Tech shop in Tarrant if you can't make them yourself. Be warned though that the Medical Arachnid schematic is broken in the original game, so unless you've found fix for it, you'd be wasting your time.

As for Virgil, he should be where you left him, if he isn't thenthe only two [places I can thinkof worth looking is either the Onion, his brother's grave, or the Crash site. If he isn't at one of those plces he's probably gone for good.

You could try the patch referred to here to fix the Medical Arachnid Schematic bug.

Also, if you are a technician and Virgil's healing spells are not working anymore, you can load Virgil up with bandages and he can heal with those too.

the problem is that virgil abuses of bandages; in about 3-4 battles, he burns 5 sets of 10bandages... and he uses heal upon all, then he uses magick only when he's finished the bandages .-.
btw, i actually use the last drog patch, so i think that bug has been fixed
