I got the NPC ranger paralysed in the fight with a wizard's quazit familiar. Since no one in Homlet seems to recognize the condition (They only want to raise dead, cure disease or heal wounds.) how do I get my best archer back in service.

Try this. In the console (open with shift-~), type:

give 9394

This SHOULD give you a scroll of remove paralysis, which I hope will solve your problem. If not, we'll try something else.
