Too late to complete quest

Due to, uh, circumstances beyond my control I took a little long in getting one of the items for the Matron Mother. My Drow disguise has disappeared. Is there any way to get the dragon eggs now? Or could I use Shadowkeeper to give myself more time (I actually need just one minute or so, I reach the Matron Mother too late, even when hasted
)?
I don't have any saved games from before it was too late.

You should be able to fight your way through to them and then out shouldn't you?
I've only reached that stage (being too late) once and fortunately had a save to fallback on, but I've always assumed you could batter your way through, just more XP doing it the 'proper' way.

I tried that, but the room where the keep the eggs won't open. I guess the only thing I can do is cheat in the eggs. Unless I can reset something using Shadowkeeper?

You can also try to kill the Dragon instead.

So neither Phaere or the Matron have a key on their bodies I take it. There must be a variable you can change but I'm afraid I don't know what it is and have no way of finding out at the moment. All I can suggest is making a seperate save and experimenting with SK. If you do that and find the variable to change could you let us know for future reference?

There's got to be a variable that you can alter in Shadowkeeper but I don't know what it is either.
Maybe you can just spawn the eggs in your inventory? If you want the Exp, you can just SK that too.
I've never had this problem, I always did took the "betray both phaere and the matron mother" path.

In the end, I just decided to CLUA in the eggs. To make it not too much of a cheat, I didn't add any XP - after all, it was my own fault... especially since it's not my first run through the game
I'll try fiddling with Shadowkeeper though, like Galraen suggested; you never know when someone else might want this info.
Thanks for the replies and a happy Christmas, all. With or without EGGnog

I'm pretty sure that the door opens once the two guards in front of it are dead.

My disguise failed me once and I just went all Chuck Norris on the whole city.

I might be wrong but I think the key can be found on a priest near the Egg room.
