Druid shapechange forms AC

[url="http://www.gamebanshee.com/icewinddaleii/shapechange.php"]gamebanshee[/url] lists various druid forms all having some generic AC bonus, up to +11 with Air Elemental. However in the game there is none of this. One Air Elemental has some, and not +11, but +1.

ok.
it is listed separately under AC modifications, so yeah +12 AC. Unbuffed AC31, thats quite good actually. 60+ AC is not unrealistic. Cats grace +3, monk +15, bard song +2, bracers of armor +4, haste +4, ring of protection +3
62 AC, more, if more spells are used.
Im surprised. All this druid bashing and now this.

Can shapeshifted Druids still wear items in IWDII?

This is a good question i havent exactly investigated yet. and the influence of item effects, if wearable, on a shapeshifted druid. Since im still in the proccess of creating a party(really this is more fun than playing) All of of above effects can be reproduced with spells though. According to gamebanshee,(and my lvl30 druid wearing that beginner armor) they can
-Items that adjust ability scores still apply while shapechanged.
But hey its still better than nwn, where all the bonus spells from +wis items got cleared on shapeshifting.

What druid really is missing in iwd 2 is feat "natural spell", so he could cast spells in shape form..
And if you plan to use shapeshift in full party, it sux even more because you will lvl up too slow to get 20+ lvl in normal mode. So only option if you want some shapeshift fun is going solo.

The arctic boar form you get at level 5 is already very powerful.
