New years resolutions

So - 2009 is soon upon us.... damn, 2009. Saw a (classic) Simpson episode where they fantasized about 2010. Where does the time fly.

Anyway - I was wondering if people make any new year resolutions?
Personally, being a man, I don't need such things :D (yeah yeah, I'm kidding :p )
So my only resolution generally - as it always is - is to drink no less next year, only eat food I enjoy when I have a choice, and generally live like I want to live and don't care about what others think.

Seriously though - my only actual resolution is that I do not want to keep being annoying/frustrated with work, so either I find something new, or I somehow change my situation at work.

So - what's everybody's resolutions?

And happy new year everybody. 2009, 'ere we go.

Just one.

Be more organized.

Of course, having a Treo and an OC for a secretary helps!

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO EVERYONE!!!

It sounds as though for some people, making New Year Resolutions is probably futile... :D
I just read this quote by André Gide:

But can one make resolutions when one is over forty? I live according to twenty-year-old habits...

:p

To make a New Year resolution is to admit you sucked last year. That's why I never make any.

Happy New Year folks, have fun.

One involves doing naughty things with a certain woman I haven't met yet, the other involves getting Rosegarden (a digital audio workstation) to run on Ubuntu - and then make lots of music. They are on equal difficulty categories, though somehow it seems like I can't have both.

Happy New Year everybody!

My New years resolutions are:

- Completing Neverwinter Nights & Neverwinter Nights 2 (+all official expansions to both games).

- Losing 10 kg´s (somehow that doesnt match very good with the first resolution)

- Making more money than 2008 (which shouldnt be hard)

To be the best possible father to my son, and that's all there is.

lol! :D Perhaps it is fair to say that in the case of some people, they don't so much have "an inner child," as they do "inner twins." :p

Anyway, on topic, I resolve to be less introverted and attempt to function better in large groups of people where I hardly know anyone :o

Thanks Mar, it's good to be back. I've been pretty busy for the last year or so, but my resolution is to balance what I must do, what I should do, and what I want to do in a way that better includes people and things that I value.

Strangely, I missed you mangy lot.

i have 2, although im probably gonna fail them both.

1) get a better job (working in subway doesnt really do it for me)

2)start playing guitar again. (i used to play when i was about 10, but my guitar broke and ive wanted regretted not getting a new one. even though 7 years is a bit of a big gap and i'll need to go back to getting lessons)

*Sigh...* Thats a good one, to pick up a musical instrument again. Its now on my To Do List ;)

My resolution is to simply see out the year, in other words I may just bury my head in the sand and wait for this gloomy financial crisis to pass over.

You need my stock quote morale booster :D
I made a GreaseMonkey script which changes all the negative values on my favorite stock quote page into positive numbers :o

Happy New Year to you all! Sorry if I'm too late :)

I agree except for this one:
To be the best possible father to my son, and that's all there is.
The same here, Moonbiter :D

this should come to be reality soon, i've spotted a beautiful Encore E99 for only £100! plus my parents have offered to pay half, so i should be able to get it quite soon.

the ice bird monarch is pleased, indeed.
