im stuck in assassin attacks

it says to go to knothole glade for me but i only get attacked occasionaly.sowhat am i supposed 2 do?

From that link:
"2. Knothole Glade. The assassin will appear at the end of the eastern side path (next to the treasure chest) when you’re near the exit to the area. "

I just want so say, that when you walk past that point, it might not spawn.
It could take a second.
Also (spoiler again) :
When you stand next to the chest yourself, the assassin will spawn at the bridge instead of next to the chest.
