Finally got out of Fargrove. I have completed the Initiation Quest at the Shrine of Celestial Light. Next I go to Arindale, where they tell me to get in; I need a mark that I can get at a tower on the eastern side of Lake Lohr.
I can not find Lake Lohr. I go around the area roads every night
and always end up back at Fargrove west gate. Can any one give me directions? I used the map but it has not helped.

The area you were trying to access is actually south of Arindale. If you follow the wall northeast, you will find a path that leads dead into a lake. Swim north to the island in the lake, kill the shadow, and climb to the top of the tower on the island.

If you can't do that, rather than taking the road south from the west gate at Fargrove, go follow the road north, and maintain north/west when it forks. When the road ends, continue northwest through the pass (you will be attacked by carrion wyrms), and then west. This will bring you to Lost Lake, which is north of Arindale. Swim west, until you can climb on the southern bank, and continue running west. When you cross the stream, run south to Arindale.

Lake Lohr is just to the north of the place where they ask you to obtain the mark. You can see it on [url="http://www.gamebanshee.com/dungeonlords/walkthrough/elvenoverview.php"]this page[/url] (at #9 and #10), which contains a map of the area.
