I will not be able to play Baldur's Gate for a few days, and there is one question I keep thinking about.

When you cast the bard song as a bard, can you do anything else? Can you attack? Cast spells, etc, while also playing the song?

After the bard song icon appears, you can stop singing and do whatever you want before the effect disappears after a round or so.
