Im currenty trying to kill the Shade at that tower where you get marked

I have no money and my spells are fireball, ice hands and the healing spell from celeastial crystal.

Im using the cheapest light armor (yes i had to spend some skill in armor, was dying from rats on easy monster levels) and a kris blade sword (couldnt stomach reloading 100 times to get the suggested elven spear)

Using my bow doesnt work becuse the arrows never hit the shade. Meleeing it seems impossible (or i end up burning through my 50 hp pots) and fireball doesnt hit it either (not that i would get him with 6 of them anyway?)

So how do i proceed? Shuould i buy some other spells? Then if so wich ones, and how do i get enough money for it? Tell me! AAHH!

By the way, whoever wrote that guide must be a masochist..i have never been more angry and frustrated over something that should be fun (its a game!!) going through this guide so far.

Go somewhere else to gain experience and money from easier enemies. Also, remember that you can get to Arindale from the north, and that the quest you're pursuing now isn't even necessary in beating the game; you can certainly come back and do it when your character is much stronger.

If you got CE 1.5...

If you got CE 1.5 and you can get online I may be able to help.
I like to help but I also don't like to see people have such a hard time with a game that should be fun. If you got CE 1.5 and if you can get online pm the time and I'll see about getting on. my only name goes by DEATHSEEKER (rarely now for that name) DEATHLORD or just DeathLord or By the name BloodElf.
I have gone through the game many times, I'm a deathlord class. I'm, sure I can get you some help in gear and some spells and weapons. Don't worry about it. I got around 7 million or so gold. If you want help you got it. but if you do not have CE 1.5 I can't help as that is what I have.

tactics

Go on top of the tower, ignore the Shade. The Shade will follow you there. once up there switch to melee. Move around and block alot, once the Shade comes down, you can hit it.
If you get hit by the Shade use the altar on the tower, it will heal you back to full health. So no potions required at all.
Keep hitting the Shade when it comes down, might take awhile depending on the damage you do in melee, but thanks to the altar up there, its impossible for the Shade to kill you.

I completely forgot about the alter being able to heal you.
