Hotkeys not working?

Hey guys,
I'm a little frustrated, for some reason the game is not letting me hotkey potions. I hold my mouse over the potion, click the accorded number key, I've checked numlock, and I still can't get any of the spells to hotkey. Wonder if anyone else has run into this problem, and if there's a solution?
