*sigh* so I decided to look through my old game box and replay baldurs gate 2 and I was merrily playing through it with thankfully no bugs until this seriously annoying thing happened!
I'm in spellhold and I have been transported into the dream version of candlekeep. That really annoying Bhaal creature came up and attacked me so I went into the library met Imoen and have brought him to her. I think that we're supposed to kill him together except she doesn't do anything and the stupid Bhaal thing will not die!!!
If Imoen say's: "Now! It is in my sight! I willl add my will to yours... he has shown me... how to make it vulnerable" One more time I'm giong to scream!

So PLEASE any ideas on how to get past this bug or how to trigger the required reaction would be really helpful!

She isn't supposed to help you, the dialog is BS. He also isn't actually killable, but once you reduce him to near death a script should kick in to end the combat. If 'Bhaal' is silenced or paralyzed, unconcious or otherwise unable to utter his final words then unfortunately the script will never kick in. This is due to bad scripting that can happen on many occasions in BG2, if necessary revert to a previous save.

As a final resort search this forum, there is a CLUA console comand to move to the next area (Spellhold) but I can't remember what it is right now, but I have posted it here before.
