Hello, I know this forum doesnt get much use, because ICEWIND DALE is a way older game, but hopefully someone will see my post and be able to help me.
I have the ICEWIND DALE 3 in 1 box set, I also have VISTA OS on my PC,
but the game loaded and plays without apparent problem, other than the fact that no matter what I do the console(cheat) wont appear.
I tried when I first loaded ICEWIND DALE, pressing CTRL + TAB no luck,
I edited the ini file for the game, placing Cheats=1 under game options. still
no luck, in response to something I read online I edited under program options placing Debug Mode=1, nothing, no console. actualy nothing I did seemed to effect the game at all, and I checked carefully each time for the
console- nothing.
the version of my game is 1.6-the most current. I tried loading HEART OF WINTER the expansion to ICEWIND DALE. It loaded without problem, but still
no console would show up, I patched HEART OF WINTER with the most current patch, still no console! please some one help me!?

If you run the IWD/HOW configuration program, there's an option labeled "Enable Cheat Console". Mark that, and it should work.
You can find the configuration program in the IWD folder, or in Start/Programs/BlackIsle/IcewindDale (or Heart of Winter).
