Finding your party members over the wasteland

Post by Jazz.z »

I am quite dissapointed in the stage of the game i've reached as I haven't had the pleasure and satisfaction to meet any of my possible followers, party folks, friends, allies, or whatever you wish to call them.

So here is my question. Where do I collect them and most importantly how? or can you just pick them ab hoc et ab hac?

So here are some details about my alter ego:

Level 15
Very very very good.
All excited and fired up because she's (it's a her, does that affect too towards your party members?)going to enter vault 87.

Thanks inadvence.

Followers don't really jump out at you and offer to join up. Since you're about to enter Vault 87, you've definitely missed one follower -- (spoiler)
Spoiler
Star Paladin Cross at the Citadel
(/spoiler) -- and there are others you can meet or not -- (spoiler)
Spoiler
like Dogmeat at the Scrapyard
(/spoiler). I didn't really care for the followers when I played. They just got in the way.

Sir Edmund: "Should you obey the lord who asks you to put a village of innocents to the torch? Is that chivalrous? Is it noble?"
Me: "It's a great way to get promoted, I know that much."

Companions do not stick out. You will have to do some searching.

There are four followers a good character can recruit: (Spoilers to follow)

Dogmeat - Go to the Scrapyard (if you've not entered the area yet, follow the sounds of battle. If you have, and just missed him, keep searching the area)

Star Paladin Cross - Citadel (you'll have to look for her, she wanders)

Fawkes - You'll run into him as part of the main quest.

Charon - Go to the Undercity (in the Museum of History). Visit The Ninth Circle. Talk to the bartender and make a deal.

There are other companions only available to evil or neutral. Charon and Dogmeat come with anyone. Dogmeat is an "extra" companion. So, you can have him and one additional companion.
